The last week of May is going to be a wild one with several outdoor activities to do in Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad. Camp by the Little Art, ArtBeat, Tamasha, CutPutli & Lahore International Children’s Film Festival

The Little Art is providing children with an opportunity to explore their creativity. They are organising a month-long workshop for young people in photography, filmmaking, painting, and puppet & theatre. In this workshop young people will learn the basics of photography, will make short films, and create their puppets. They will learn the art of exploring their creativity in reference to the environment they live in. Open avenues of creative thinking for them by registering them for the workshop.

Safar-e-Shauq by Ejaz Art Gallery

Israr Hussain Chishti will be exhibiting his latest work titled “Safar-e-Shauq” at Ejaz Art Gallery this week. The exhibition will showcase the landscape of Pakistan, portraying a country worn out by conflict, yet still determined to grow.

Book Club: Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi by British Council Pakistan

This week join British Council Pakistan for a book discussion. This month’s pick is the highly acclaimed graphic novel Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi. The story has been adapted into an Academy Award nominated feature film. This autobiographical account of growing up in Iran during the end of the Shah years and the Islamic Revolution is funny, poignant and heart-warming. We’re sure you’ll have a lot to say about Marji’s experiences.

Melt and Pour: A Soap-Making Workshop with HNU and British Council Pakistan

Between reading, translating and interpreting a collection of verses, Arieb Azhar will also perform a selection of Sufi Kalaam on the guitar accompanied by young virtuoso sitar player from the illustrious Senia Gharana of music.
