With the three -T20 series just around the corner, and matches set to roll out on September 12, September 13 and 15 in Lahore, we can barely hide our excitement!

World XI Squad consists of; Faf du Plessis (capt, SA), Hashim Amla (SA), Samuel Badree (WI), George Bailey (Aus), Paul Collingwood (E), Ben Cutting (Aus), Grant Elliott (NZ), Tamim Iqbal (Ban), David Miller (SA), Morne Morkel (SA), Tim Paine (Aus), Thisara Perera (SL), Imran Tahir (SA) and Darren Sammy (WI). With the former Zimbabwe captain and England coach, Andy Flower at the helm, we’re sure coach and team alike, will be a force to be reckoned with on their maiden World XI tour.

World XI Team Stats

  • Players from seven nations represent the 14 man squad
  • Faf du Plesis leads squad with four other south Africans
  • Squad has combined experience of 510 T20 International Matches
  • Darren Sammy with 66 T20I’s, is the most capped player in the squad
  • Tamim Iqbal with 1202 runs, is the highest scorer in the T20Is in the squad
  • Imran Tahir with 55, is the highest wicket taker in T20I’s in the squad
  • Players within the squad have won 6 world T20 titles between them!

Only a full strength Pakistan team will do, to compete with such an impressive lineup. The brilliant news is, that the boys should be in good nick after their impressive summer stints overseas, playing English County and the Caribbean Premiere league.
