Friday – April 20th, 2018

Jhaanjar Di Paanwaan Chhankaar – Lahore by Olomopolo Media

The much-awaited Jhaanjar Di Paanwaan Chhankaar (The Sound of my Anklet’s Bells) premieres this weekend at Alhamra Arts Council, Lahore. Directed by Sarmad Khoosat and written by Saeed Rahman, the play features a stellar cast of complex and enthralling characters which means this one’s not to be missed.

Packages Mall Birthday Celebrations – #funtobe1

9th Tehzeeb Festival & Awards by Tehzeeb Foundation of Pakistan

Tehzeeb Foundation in collaboration with Karachi Arts Council is holding its annual Tehzeeb Festival & Awards featuring classical, ghazal and folk music by musicians from Pakistan and India.  Join them to honour the best of Pakistan’s musical talent.

International Peace Festival by National Peace Council for Inter-faith Harmony

International Peace Festival will be held at Jinnah Convention Centre, this Friday. The festival aims to promote the idea of coexistence, tolerance, and humanity. Let’s all join hands for the noble cause of peace where all the provinces of Pakistan would be seen under one flag!

Zard Paton Ka Ban – Lahore by Theatre Wallay

“Zard Paton ka Ban,” an original play devised by Islamabad-based Theatre Wallay comes to Lahore following successful shows in Karachi and Islamabad. “Zard Paton Ka Ban” is a theatrical performance based on our experiences and perceptions of public space, and how public spaces are becoming increasingly inaccessible due to various reasons.

Private Screening of ‘Qalandar Code’ in Lahore by Qalandar Code

A private screening of ‘Qalandar Code’, Atiya Khan’s 55 minute documentary on the Rise of the Divine Feminine will be held, this Saturday. With 16 years in the making, the documentary contains incredible footage of Atiya visiting the Shrine at Sehwan Sharif.


TLW Kids’ Story Time by the Last Word

Kick-start a lovely weekend with your children at The Last Word’s weekly Story session! This Saturday, Saneeya will be reading cat-themed books to your little ones. We are hoping it will be fun!

Sur Ka Safar: Usman Anees by the Second Floor (T2F)

T2F is back with another episode of Sur Ka Safar series; this time featuring Usman Anees- a maestro in the field of music composition, accompanied by Yousuf Kerai on the tabla. Usman has composed extensively for various mediums, ranging from solo piano music to symphonies and an opera. In this performance, he will present a solo piano recital followed by some fusion work with his tabla companion.

Sufism Season 2 by High Club

Pearls of Wisdom from the private notebook of Allama M. Iqbal by the Hive at Islamabad

On the Death Anniversary of Allama Iqbal, the hive is hosting an engaging session with Khurrum Ellahi who will transport you back in time into the life of Iqbal through his private notebook! Book Club: Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro by British Council Pakistan

The British Council Book club will be reading ‘Never Let Me Go’ by Kazuo Ishiguro, this Sunday. A speculative fiction book about childhood friendships and the complexities of adulthood, it follows the lives of three friends facing the realities of life.  Join them with your thoughts on the book and enjoy an interesting conversation.

Ifwa & Cosala Charity Bazaar 2018 by IFWA & Cosala Bazaar

The Bazaar featured various food and handicraft stalls and some invigorating musical performances by local musicians!
