My Pure Land

One woman and her two daughters, who defended their home from 200 bandits

Who doesn’t enjoy a story of an underdog that breaks free from societies clasps, that too based on a true story. A proposition quite irresistible for many cine-goers.

The awe inspiring thrilling trailer of “My Pure Land”, a film is based on the story of a mother and her two daughters in Pakistan who defiantly defended their land from 200 bandits, simply blew us away.

One thing that stands out in the trailer is the masterful treatment of the film by first-time director Sarmad Masud. A gorilla style shoot is quite common when shooting documentaries but in films, still a novelty. Masud’s choice of subject might be the one that makes gorilla style film-making more acceptable and popular amongst the film fraternity world over.

My Pure Land is set to be released in UK cinemas, 15th September 2017. To learn more about the film you can check out their Facebook page here.
